Getting fit the wii way

Yes, one of the thousands that must must have to have the Wii Fit – the revolutionary at-home personal trainer. I preordered this nearly three weeks ago, and it was delivered on launch date of 25th April. And it was well worth it!!!
It first measures your BMI, which puts me at overweight– no suprises there, especially since I entered the wrong height measurement. Then it measures your balance , which gave me my Wii Fit age at 44. Hah. However, I do think that it tends to measure younger users and give them an older age, whilst older users will be assigned a younger age. All about motivation me says. The younger ones will be determined to lower their Wiiage whilst the older ones are so happy about being a younger wiiage than they actually are and thus continue playing
And its games -nothing like Bubble Bobble or even Grand Thef Auto. This was just out of the world! Over the weekend I had jogged on the spot with the Wiimote (the controller) in my pockets, headed footballs, ski jumped, dressed up as a penguin and chased after fishes, did pushups and many others. What was excellent about this Wiifit is the Yoga section, which measures if your weight is evenly distributed between your feet and how much you are shaking when you are doing a pose. This is nearly impossible to judge with traditional classes or even one to one yoga training. Wiifit takes out the doubt that you might be doing it wrong by measuring your centre of gravity and shakiness of your leg supporting your upper body.
I also found out that I rocked in hulahooping! Excellent for straining the thigh muscles, it was absolutely exhausting! Step aerobics was one of my plus points as well, fairly similar with dance dance revolution. Just trying to do more cardio stuff at the moment due to my Mii ( avatar on Wii) currently resembling a rotund barrel – it automatically shrinks your Mii if you’re underweight and vice versa.

This was bacon doing step aerobics
I might dissapear in the next week or so, but will definately take more pics! Been to busy excercising myself and had no time to take pixs. Very happy with my progress so far, seeing that I am horrible with sticking to gym, Wiifit will actually scold me if I was not consistent with my excercises! It says good morning to you, asks you if you’ve had your lunch and tells you to stay off the afternoon snack. Now, have you seen a friendlier personal trainer?

aherm.not posting cause I obviously failed:
had chicken salad for lunch and it all went downhill from there. ice creams, two cookies, KFC for V day dinner and endless oranges for w2d2&d4 – NOT the best idea.
today’s menu
breakfast: 2 cups coffee
lunch: cardboard crispbread with hoummus & packet mushroom soup
snacks: oranges oranges oranges and did I mention oranges?
dinner: pork chop with bok choy. hopefully carb-less
The good thing is my pants fits better now.My unsightly muffin top is shrinking into a smaller muffin. I am not allowed to shop any more until I shrink back to my near-original size.NO MORE CLOTHES.omg.So yeah. mission for summer is to squeeze back into my minis ! Woo! Pray for with me that this lasts. With chinese new year around the corner, not really the best time to start a diet ,but as I see it its a change of my attitute to food/snacks/portioning as I am not really on rabbit food all the time.

I know, today’s meal don’t seem to be as healthy as diet food, but I do have fatty foods from the fatbastard weekend that do need eating – I can’t see it go to waste!Wonder what will I have tomorrow since it’s valentine’s day. No doubt bacon will be whipping up some fatty shit to get me to pig out – I tell you, he’s sooo trying to sabotage me! And it sadly works:(

ok, did not do so well over the weekend.ok, that’s an understatement.I utterly failed.
With a fatty session of masak-masak (couldnt resist), I also had mcdonalds breakfast, fish&chips and dim sum. NONE of which is healthy at all. Bacon was trying to sabotage my efforts by declaring it a fatty-weekend,he chose all the unhealthy food that we consumed over the weekend. So (nearly) all my effort was put to waste. But seeing that I eat that way on weekends whether or not I watch what I eat on weekdays, at least (i hope!) the summary of the week was more help than harm.Hah.
Or maybe its time for weight loss pill
Anyway, now that we have mirrored doors on our wardrobe, it’s helping the both of us see how fat we have gotten (what, you mean bursting out of your clothes is not enough?).So we are giving project eliminate fatbastard another try:
monday:
breakfast: none.forgot.
lunch: 2 tuna sandwiches with homemade bread & lowfat mayo.
dinner: steak & salad, duck soup (leftover masak-masak).
snack: mandarin oranges * 5
update: 1 piece of Flake Choc
Now, we shall see how I cope without unhealthy stuff.Let the week begin!
project fatbastard day4
its now Friday, the beginning of the weekend. A cold start – which makes me hunger for warm soul food like jambalaya, steam boat, paella, bacon breakfast – sigh. all happily unhealthy food to cheer me up.
menu fatbastard day4:
breakfast: 1 yoghurt + 1 mug coffee only
lunch: brown rice & canned soup (yes, yes – but i really didnt know what to cook!)
snack: hemp seed bar
dinner: at the moment, steak & salad
yesterday’s sinner dinner went ok;had skinless chicken cooked in brown rice with briyani powder from dreybee’s xmas care pack (100cal. per person).NO GHEE OR BUTTER! Blanched bok choy as a starter (too hungry cannot wait for rice!) but brown rice was a little hard to cook – my briyani seemed to be made out of lentils.had a tub of unflavoured popcorn after that as well to much my way through.
This weekend’s masak-masak will be cancelled due to project fatbastard – unless I find a low-fat high-taste recipie.Sigh. Will be heading towards Manchester tomorrow for a quick one – to find out if I am qualified to be trained whilst given a bursary = govt pay me whilst I continue my studies! Due to my delicate situation as being neither here nor there, and previous qualifications from Malaysia and California, it’s a little tricky.
snowed last night, but it’s fast melting now. hopefully it’ll snow again on sunday – distract me from the hunger.
