Just a quick one. Can someone recomend a place to stay and restaurants to eat in Oxford City Centre? I’ve been to Oxford, and seemed to recall having a great Hongkie meal complete with double-boiled soup – would like to venture out to other meals tho. Not even sure if the place I ate the last time is still open – it HAS been more than two years!
And seeing that I am on expenses this time, can afford to spend more on dinner! With my new job there will be no more trips to the Emerald Isles – which is fortunate, as my passport had expired anyway! I will, however, be doing some UK-based travelling. Am planning something in for Oxford in the next week or two, really need to get my bearings right before making any choices.
And oh, Krispy Kreme’s in Oxford…next to Malmaison….which I am going to try to stay in!! Don’t think expenses will allow that tho!

Been to Oxford a couple months back. went to the new Jamie Oliver restaurant.
Pretty good, but pretty long wait too.
But it was worth it.
Not sure if expenses mean jamie oliver restaurants! And going very close to Valentine’s day as well! Will check that out thanks Tiff.
