The Ugly

The Bad

The Good

Yes, I’m back! And still sick! I got the flu the day before I left, and am still sick now. Plus that with that with severe food poisoning ( my doctor said that 90% of tourists to Egypt catches the severe food poisoning bug). Got back on Christmas day, and have been laid in bed since then…which makes it 5 days. This does not include the time I spent in bed sick in Egypt. Today’s the first day I am well enough to get up and play….pictures are on their way.

School’s broken out at last!!! I am now officially out of a job until 5th January next year! I’m trying to upload some videos for my last post before leaving – but it is increasingly looking unlikely that I can do this by tonight.
So, in case I don’t get to upload and blog before tonight – HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS! I will be back on Boxing day in time for the Christmas sales…woo! And now, hello fishes of the Red Sea..come to mamma…

bacon

Who loves ya baby!
Bacon, on one of his increasingly regular trips into London, got me this…

And this..

And this is why…

All for the love of a bag! £13 spent on 2 dozen krispy kremes because he thinks I’d love to have a krispy kreme bag

And this is Krispy Kreme’s take on Christmas. I hate mince pies, but this, I will gladly scoff!
Everybody together now….Awww!!

No, nothing human! No human parts around, you dirty old git
I love knitted toy food…just like play food that I used when I was a child. I can never find a reason to buy any of the super cute play food as I have no idea what I am going to use it for…but I think I just got to a point that I just don’t care, just gotta have one! I did two christmas crafts market over the weekend, and standing in cold subzero weather nearly killed me – needed a distraction. So I bought myself a knitted banana. What??? I hear you ask….

Hehe.

It’s even peeled for easy access! Love it! Totally pointless, but for £1.75 it really did cheer me up.
Having a snow day

Being me, on wednesday I was asking around the office about how many inches of snow would we need before a snow day was declared.
Waking up on thursday morning, I trudged to the bus stop admist the very thick snow. Within 5 minutes, someone has come down the road telling us that the roads have been closed and no cars OR buses are going either way. YAY! I rushed home and made myself a tea before txting my boss…who had been stuck in a bus for an hour. No buses ran up my road until the very next day, which really gave me a snowed in day! Admittedly, the snow (well, most of it) had melted by 2pm….by which I had gotten bored of refreshing the public transport website and had fallen asleep. Not much point getting a bus in at 2 something anyway…by the time I get into work it would have been after 3.30pm

My neighbour walking her two dogs.

Settled snow on my fence

More…I love snow settled on the fence…it stays clean rather than all mucky with dirt.

This was from a few days before….when it was freezing but not snowing. Cool, innit? Ignore the fact that my house is decorated with cobwebs
