The one on the left is for gents since the toilet seat is up and looks to be placed a little farther from the back wall in case it might help with 'aim'. The one on the right is for ladies with the seat down and its back closer to the wall, cos aiming just doesn't matter. LOL. This is clearly a unisex toilet. From the looks of it, the toilet on the left looks to be retro-fitted. That area could have been a shower stall previously. But I get what you are saying, why add a toilet but not add a divider???
