Weekends are usually spent at the malls, eating, shooting pictures or other fun stuff
Well, this weekend:
1) Rebuild bacon’s dead laptop
So I can now finally retire my poor 8 year old (!!!!!) dell laptop. Goes to show that dell build things that last. My poor laptop with melted plastic on the cover from clipping a lamp on it. Running on 5G hard drive, it’s not almost a joke, its pathetic. So rest well baby, you deserve to retire and not have to come to my rescue again, like the last time the Compaq died.
On the other hand, it is great being able to type properly on this new laptop, being able to view webpages without fear of crashing, and most importantly, being able to upload pictures and install programs. Can you believe that I could not have flash or acrobat reader ect due to my poor dell’s Alzheimer’s?
2)Unpack all my old clothes
Sorted them and brought them to the charity shop, with the rest put to wash and back into a wardrobe where they belong. Although bacon kept pestering me to keep things that I initially did not want to keep.
3) Do 5 loads of laundry & ironing
3 loads of it were mostly old clothes from boxes. Now, 2 more loads of ironing to go
4) Vacuum
The whole house is now supposedly clean. Although in my mother’s point of view, it’s probably extremely dirty again by now
5) Facebook bunnies
Thanks to Lisa, I am now extremely addicted to my bunny, humpy in facebook. To the uninitiated, it’s a little like neopet, but you use it to fight monsters, earn gold and go shopping to add to its arsenal. Anyone wanting to add me, let me know and we can bunny hump!
In the meantime I manage to sneak a chat with dreybee & a barbeque party. And grocery shopping, watched the F-1 & send pictures for printing. Now, where’s my iron…..
PS: For all those that promised me a copy of Photoshop CD (you know who you are) …erm…now would be a good time to send it over to me. Please. Again.

5 loads?! Am assuming that you guys use a dryer then. Oh wait, of course you do – you live in England. Your clothes would never get dry otherwise.
Oh but you are wrong – we actually had SUN and 26 deg. weather over the weekend!!!So I got to sun my laundry !!
Summer is here at last! And it’ll last for a few days at least.
Youd be suprised that most people here do not own a dryer – they just drape wet clothes everywhere in the house, most homes have indoor drying line or rack. But the problem with that is that in the winter, it takes two days to completely dry,and then the circle starts all over again. So the house is in a perpetual clothes strewn zone. Eeeuck.
Comment by sourrain 08.06.07 @ 9:51 amheheh oh I remember those half-moist clothes smell very well when I was traveling through Europe. So do you guys have like tonnes of underwear so that you wouldn’t run out???
Comment by mooiness 08.06.07 @ 1:42 pmno, i’ve got a dryer, so I never run out!We didn’t have one in our old house, and it was so irritating cause every two days you can only do one load of laundry – wait for the other to dry before you can wash some more.Unless you have washing line strung all across your house.
I really don’t understand the indoor drying technique. Obviously does not work.
Comment by sourrain 08.06.07 @ 2:11 pmNo.2 is a good idea…. a little push to the rest of us who’s often procrastinated this little task. Altho’ I am more of a “I think I still want to keep this” rather than wanting to chuck them all away :p
Wahey – I just started No.5 yesterday!
Comment by fadedbutterfly 08.07.07 @ 1:15 amreen: I know! ITs so freaking hard! There is so many things I want to keep – like extremely uncomfortable boots that I apparently look nice in.
So it is still in..grrr.
