this is NOT a religious post
do you believe in fate?do you believe in religious mish mash, fortune telling, feng shui, fate, temple medium, palm reading, face reading ect ect?
is there a bigger force out there than you?
I have spent the last four days in contemplation of my new deck of tarot cards. It must be fate – i mistakenly clicked one-buy on amazon. Then it did not arrive in the two-week timeframe and my money was refunded to me…and of course, the cards prompty arrived a couple of days after. For Free.Fate.
I had always been mystified by most things occult and tarot. However, I had never wanted to go for the palm-reading sessions or temple medium thingy.Of course, there had been a couple of for-fun party tricks palm reading session, but nothing more than that. I am not sure if I did not want to believe, did not believe, or just plain scared.
Due to my free-range activicties at the local libraries, I had mistakenly borrowed a book on the power of being a Goddess (thought it was some feminine girl-power self help book) which ended up to be ‘harnessing the power of mother nature’.It discusses numerology, palmistry, crystals, real Goddesses (i.e. Aphrodite,Kuan Yin even) and more.I was most impressed by the small section on tarot in that book, and started looking around for some more information – thus the misadventures at amazon.
Obviously, at the moment my intrepretation of the cards are shaky at best. I have done a few readings on behalf of close friends and forced bacon to ask me questions – so far 2 out of 3 cards (I use the 3 card spread) have eerily shown the accurate situation of either the past, future or present of the query. That’s scary stuff. I am having problems intrepreting my own cards though – I’m sure I just need further guidance and experience.
So, please let me know if you want your tarot cards read; I just need the practice! It will probably best if I already know you, as it will help me reconfirm some of the interpretation based on what I already know – hey, I am still a novice ok! Bear in mind that tarot does not tell the future; it is supposed to just show and guide you at the possibilities.Tarot practitioners believe in providing guidance and that readings evolve and change with actions that are taken by the querant (the person asking the question, doh). At the moment I am treating this as a ‘game’ rather than a divinitory tool – i interpreted for myself that I am extremely happy career wise at present, which, as you all know, is NOT TRUE
I use: New Rider-Waite deck
I learn: Joan Bunning

yes of course. Ask away! I will respond by email even.
Pick three numbers from 1-78 (there are 78 cards). I will do two readings, one from your picked numbers and another one from me concentrating on your question and picking cards myself.

mavis: Oh interesting.I had never come across any tarot card reading in Msia. Yes, it is scary how accurate it is – even for a novice, I had a few very accurate past and present prediction – we will see how the future one prevails
As for the black cloth; it needs to be silk as well, and preferably the whole thing hidden in a wooden box. It is to prevent external energies (chi in chinese) from getting into the decks and influencing the readings. Also, most readers do not allow anyone else to touch their decks, as it contains the readers’ energies. The only time it can be touched by anyone else is to cut the deck.
