You can tell its spring when mini dwarf daffodils starts blooming in my garden.

No, it is not wildflower, and yes, it is as short as a pen. And of course, it was picked by Bacon and I stupidly spent an hour outside in the winter planting them.I like all my things big.hmm.

Last year’s gardening bug was simply crazy for this city slut who had never planted anything more than beansprouts (tried weed but it did not work out. oh well) .I had all sorts of things growing,but we already had two cherry trees, blackcurrant(as in ribena) and redcurrant bushes ;which gave us yearly worry-less jams.But this year all is gone as we start anew from an empty patch of garden..all I have now is dead strawberry plants from last season and few pots of lavender (I don’t care, I WILL have an english lavender garden!)

Tulips from last year were replanted in the new garden – happy to report that it’s still blooming.I am awaiting my giant red tulips to bloom this weekend..hopefully when I am around!

I like twees.So we got another cherry tree.I love cherry blossoms in early spring and the fruit after; pretty AND delicious.mmm..

I’ve been looking for a plum tree as well to plant on the other side of the garden but with no avail.Probably because I was cheapskate – we shopped around months for a tree,and I found this at last in our local supermarket for £4.99. I only just realized that after planting the roots, it was only 3ft tall…sigh.So no blossoms nor fruits this year -I missed having a cherry tree.
