project fatbastard

I was once propotionately formed…

Fridge shoppin with the folks..

after wedding blues had turned me into a fatbastard in 6 months. My shape is now resembling a rotund bacon rather than a properly shaped but never skinny me. I don’t fit into my skirts, tops, jeans, bikini – a week ago bacon mentioned that I seemed to be wearing underwear that is a size to small – and I wasn’t. I had gone up from a size 8-10 UK to a size 10-12 UK; occasionally hitting a 14 if I get very very unlucky. If this continues, I will be bursting out of my seams and would need a brand new wardrobe, or get to my old fatclothes from eons ago.

It doesn’t help that I am surrounding myself with loads of munchies.I used to go out yumchar nearly every night, now I just plop my lazyass on my reclinable lazy-boy sofa and channel hop.

Most people think it’s ok to put on weight now that I’m married – WRONG. Bacon is ok with it of course, but I am not, therefore I am launching:

project eliminate fatbastard.

I will be keeping track of what I stuff down by gob in hopes of looking back in disgust and therefore only muching on carrots from now. Yesterday being day 1; I went to sleep hungry, contently chewing on bacons’ shoulder mummuring ‘fried chicken, fried chicken’

5/2/07

3 cups very milky coffee
1 glass orange juice
1 yoghurt
ayam masak merah (2 chicken thighs) & rice (leftover -gimme a break k)
5 small pineapple tarts (um,break over)
1 6oz steak
1/2 portion of steam veg
1 bowl fatfree veggie soup
1/2 slice bread

today:

2 cups coffee w milk (humm need to cut down on dairy)
4 jaffa cakes
1 bowl fatfree veggie soup
4tbsp (cooked) basmati rice
(tonight) grilled salmon with lemon
couscous with pepper,chickpeas,corn & raisins
updated: frozen yoghurt & soybeans

And hopefully no tarts! Let the fatbusting begin!

Ok you probably know what you need to cut back: the cakes and the tarts. Basically the sweet pastries. Everything else looks ok, don’t starve yourself. Eat more fruit in place of the sweets maybe.

And then you gotta do some exercise because cutting back now is only gonna maintain the current weight. If you wanna lose them pounds, you gotta eat less AND work out.

Not easy but here’s wishing you the willpower! :)

Re: the picture. Looks good to me!

Don’t feel bad. From my American point of view you look fine. If you want to imagine big people, remember back to California days……I’ll bet you saw some big people then. You look nothing like them.

Good luck. I have found the same problem in keeping the weight off. Only mine is due to my fondness for beer! I suspect that is not an issue with you, which is why you should smile and take heart. You will do fine. Besides there are 100′s of us who like you no matter what.

skippy: Um..the above picture was taken in my ‘thin’ days. It doesn’t help that I had been a lifetime fatty:(

My problem with beer is over now,so its no longer a problem:)).Thank you anyway:)

moo: Its too cold to excercise, not that I don’t want to.And yes, I have a problem with sweet stuff..i can easily live in krispykremeland.

SIGH.

this is why i am a fatbastard

Babes.. I know you hate the ‘skip carbo’ diet but if you have to, make sure you eat ‘good’ carbo that is cutting down on refined flour.

For apple shape people like us, we shouldn’t be taking too much dairy products. Substitute milk with non-fat/low fat milk.

And I know you’ve a sweet tooth, there are plenty sugar-free chocolates out there. You can try Hershey’s sugarfree or Hawaiian Host. I know they don’t taste the same as the REAL thing but hey, you’re a diet. Suffer a bit leh! :)

hawaiian host!??!?! OMG that is like brown colored wax!

Yeah:(.I am trying to subsitute with fruits i like, like grapes.Maybe cut a huge bowl of fruits and stuff myself silly.Oh, i only have low fat milk btw.they don’t like fat milk here. The problem is quantity that I drink.hahaha:).

Yea trying to cut down on the proper carbs.I might do brown rice – i actually quite like brown rice. What else are good carbs?

OMG I remember our tuna diet.Bleurk.

Good carbs – brown rice, bread that doesn’t use white flour (wholemeal is not good enough, you must get bread that is made of other thing except refined wheat/flour)

Bad veges (starchy) – carrots, cabbage, aubergine/brinjal, onions (suggestions: leafy green veges)

Fruits with very high sugar content – grapes! oranges! watermelon! (most would suggest eating berries, apples/pears/kiwis which are not full of sugar. the best is actually GUAVA but you don’t have!)

Tuna diet was actually good wat. I just hate canned tuna.

hmm

if not wholewheat and not white there is no more flour ler – i’ve checked cos i jsut bought a breadmaker

omg carrot also cannot!?Isnt it potato cannot? carrot cannot i noneed to eat liao – btw, only leafy veg we have here is lettuce and salad leaves so its damn boring.(spinach is not counted k)

I loved the beetroot whilst we on tuna diet.

I dont mind high sugar content for fruit – i need the sugar kick, either I get from fruits or choc, better fruits rite.I cant do kiwi cos i hate it,but will do more pears cos i got damnalot now
