Everytime I come up with some emo blog about not blogging anymore,I will inadvertly start blogging again.Maybe I should repost about not blogging on a weekly basis..Hmm.Actually,I skipped work today, that’s why I’m just sitting home waiting for bacon so we can start off for Edinburgh.

Then I have maidzilla complaining why I don’t want to blog.

Went wedding dress shopping with the mother in law today.Contrary to popular belief of the impossible mil, mine’s actually quite nice.Very nice.

She buys earrings from me
She takes me kai kai
She helps us clean up the house when we get stuck on some impossible rut of dirt
Our washing machine has broken down and she is now doing all our laundry.Heh.

Anyway..back to the point. Trying on these dresses today made me excited again about wedding prep. Its amazing how a wedding dress makes you look like an angel in disguise. Not like I’m going to buy my dress here…at bloody RM 7000 for an off the rack, you’ve gotta be kidding me.I’m making mine from KL.Beginning of July is really not far at all, just think,3 months from today I will be tucking in on my nasi lemak again! Yippie!

Yummm…food…

Which I am actually not allowed to eat…because I have to fit into this!

I know it’s been some time since I blogged…like two whole weeks which is becomming a record for me! I think I am putting exordinarily ordinary on hold…at least until I find a permanent job.At the moment my life is quite depressing..as it has been for the past month. All I seem to do is moan about joblessness and the occasional bitching that is reflective of what I usually write on.

This is going to lose me readership, but I rather not write about depressing events rather than depressing everyone else and not doing my blog justice. I will, however, come out with an occasional update (like this one!) about life and jobseeking in general

My temp job is driving me nuts…all I do day in and day out is data entry and other mundane mindless things.Granted,I am surrounded by wonderfully expensive clothes, but it’s MEN’S clothes!!People here are not all that nice..I miss the camarderie that I had in my previous office.I dont even take a lunch break, as there is no where to go for lunch around here! So I sit here, 9 hours a day, typing and taking lunch on my desk.Life..sucks.I don’t even have time to read blogs anymore, therefore missing out on all my fav bloggers

However…I’m going to be in Edinhburgh,Scotland this weekend!! Yippie..I hope I’d be updating my trip here.It should do wonders for my current desultory mood as well,so hopefully I’d had cheered up by then

If you want to be kept in the loop when I am ready to blog again regularly, let me know at milimail@gmail.com!

At last. Phew

Starting Monday as an Assistant Fashion Merchandiser (sounds posh innit?), this is still a temporary position to my unemployed situation.I’d be working in a company that supplies men’s fashion…it’s a shame it’s not fashion merchandiser in some female clothing chain.Oh well, at least it keeps me on my toes and busy.

Salary’s quite shite,so I will see how long I stay. It’s a temp-permanent,so it’s basically up to me on how long I want to work. Being in the city centre will probably help my depression as well, with lunchtime shopping ect.Excellent.

Speaking of jobs, I have had to take tests and such on my Excel and Words skills.Word’s fine, as all I had to do was type type and type. But the bloody excel test….jeeze! I used to teach Excel, comming from an IT background.I am also the reference person at work for all issues MS Office. But this test, being completely hopeless, marks my answers as ‘wrong’ when I most definately got it right. Then it has the nerve to have a pop out asking you WHY did you get it wrong.Which I promptly answered that I got it right, but the computer is just too stupid to recognize it, so fuck off.

I came away with an outrageous 80%,which pissed me off, as the questions that they marked me wrong is actually correct. The nerve of it…I told the woman interviewing me…and she had the nerve to tell me that its good enough, seeing that alot of accountants achieves less than that. Bugger..just because there are stupid people does not mean I have to stoop to their level.

Grr…I hate employment tests

Once a raver always a raver

AH….Moo’s post on the Two Tribes rave that he was at reminded me of one thing..

Yours truly is going to V Festival!!

Spread over the course of a weekend, with campsites ready, this hedonistic festival is just a step lower from the almighty Glastonbury. The lineup reads of Groove Armada(which I have seen and absolutely loved),Fatboy Slim,Beck, Keane,Radioheads,Morrisey…the list goes on to encompass Bacon’s teeny bopper fav,Sugababes.

At bloody 130 pounds per ticket, this has better be good.It bloody sold out in 3 hours as well..you would think tht people have better use of their money. It’s a good mixture of bands and dancey djs like fatboy slim, and it will do quite well for Bacon who are not all that into DJs,unlike his wife who thinks DJs are god. However,Bacon is a senior, having gone to at least a few festivals every year.

Married or not,I am still a raver at heart, even though its been ages since I’ve been to a rave….and therefore I will either be going to Creamfields or Godskitchen’s Global Gathering. Two whole days of nonstop drum n bass, trance, techno and the like, this is almost like a religion.I can’t decide creamfields or global….I can only afford one as it is 100 pounds per pop as well…bloody cutthroat. The price we pay for music.

Anyone has any suggestions on either?Creamfields or godskitchen?I must admit that I like both of them,as a regular to Cream and Godskitchen events in KL.Decisions decisions..

All of us have had friends that come and go throughout our lives. However, there are bound to be just a handful of those special ones that stay with you throughout the years..friends that you might not have been keeping in close contact with ,but when you meet again, everything’s just like yesterday, and the yapping and bitching continues.I have dreydrey in my life….and today I would like to pay tribute to my oldest friend..maggy

You always remember the person you shared your first ciggy with.I still remember at 13,I practically dragged this geeky looking girl into 7-11 for our first malboro.Heck, you should have seen me, I look like a fatass awkard butch.Yeah, the things my mother do to my hair. I remember our first pair of levis, which were identical down to the size..god,I used to live in them and love them like a boyfriend (eh,I’m pathetic ok)

And in our transition from akward kids to gawky teenagers, we went for a makeover in Bodyshop.Hahaha…two wannabee teenagers going for a makeup lesson when its obvious we can’t even afford to buy a paper bag there (in an ironical twist,Maggy later went and work for bodyshop)

Then a couple of years later,we slowly lost touch with each other.I moved to another school, and our circle just didn’t click..with all the hate propaganda going around, high school was not exactly all sugar and spice.Until today,I’m still unsure what happened

Years later, I’ve moved to California, whilst she’s started earning good money in a cushy IT job.I grown to a giant hippo, whilst she still stayed the same.I was so huge,I had to buy my clothes from the fat section! When I returned from California for good,we slowly started seeing each other again, for coffees, impromptu yumchar sessions, shopping, book club ect.It was sure fun getting to know each other again and no matter what differences we had,we remained friends throughout.

This is post no. 100 on blogger!!

When I started blogging on Friendster blog in Apr 2005,I never anticipated that I will still be blogging nearly a year later, ableit moving from friendster to blogger. I have had 3 websites(I think its still around somewhere),and 4 earlier blogs before that. sourrain was registered on blogger sometime in 2004,but I just never had the ability to go beyond 10 posts.

Today,I am proud to say that I am a blogger.

Although,I must say, without Moo being my only reader and pestering me whenever I start slacking off, this blog would not be what it is today, alive.

So thank you moo!

I have been so immersed with myself lately that I have not stepped back and looked at those around me.

I was just going to send an email to a loyal reader enquiring about her upcomming bundle of joy. I stumbled upon her blog and realized that something short of a catastrophy had befallen, and here I was, more than a month later trying to enquire about a joyful occasion.

You know who you are.Stay strong girl.Life is but a long journey that has its fair share of stumbling blocks. It is the hope and joy that makes it all worth the while.

And the hunt goes on

Had two interviews yesterday, one with a dodgy marketing firm and another with a recruitment agency.

Dodgy marketing firm seems to be recruiting for direct sales personnel. You know, those selling credit cards on the streetcorner and screaming their heads off? Or those door to door salesmen selling dominoes vouchers?Yep,one and the same.Only problem is that they don’t seem to give a basic salary, only commmission. That might mean standing at the sidestreet all day and not earning a penny.

We haven’t got to pay yet, but they have invited me in for a day of work just to see what are they doing.Since I am so free, I’ve decided to be subjected to a day in the freezing cold. Aw heck…we’ll just see.

Second interview went quite interestingly.Anything from high and mighty jobs to temping is explored. But since they have put the idea of temping in my mind,I am also now in search of other temping opportunities, with a higher pay of course. At the moment, they can offer me 6.29 an hour, which is quite low.

Having guests over tomorrow, but the guest bedroom is still in a state of white/yellow/green.It doesnt help that I bought cheap white paint, and am now subjected to multiple coats of paints to cover the sickening yellow background.I am down to my third coat.

Grr
